Fire Safety Talk

On Friday, Year 6 had a Fire Safety Talk from our local Fire Department. They learnt about what things can cause a fire, staying safe at home and what to when they see a fire. Renar did an excellent demonstration of Stop, drop and roll! The children asked lots of excellent questions. I'm sure they will all be checking their fire escape plans at home with their parents and feel confident in calling 999 for help! We were very lucky to be shown how high the ladder goes on the fire engine, all the safety equipment and some children even got to go inside the truck too, all this before the fire fighters had to go on a real emergency call. An exciting insight for all our Year 6 children
