Letter to Parents from Miss Martin

Communication to parents and carers.

Monday 6th September 2021

Dear Parents and Carers,

I hope that you all had a wonderful summer break.  I am delighted to be writing to you having been appointed Principal at Temple and I am very much looking forward to getting to parents and families.

I am joining Temple following a relocation from London where I have held a range of leadership roles across different contexts. My passion is teaching and learning and ensuring that our pupils get the best possible education and experience every minute that they are in school with us. Parents and families have such an important contribution to children’s achievements at school and I know that when we are working together as a team the children will flourish. I am incredibly excited to be joining the Temple Team and to work with pupils, families, and staff to take the school on the next part of its journey.

Over the coming weeks, I will be available on the playground and at entry and exit points so please do come and say hello. I look forward to meeting you and your families and supporting our pupils to reach their fullest potential in this next phase of Temple’s journey. Once Coronavirus restrictions allow I also look forward to being able to welcome you into school for workshops and events.

We are excited to welcome pupils back on Thursday 9th September and this is an important year for Temple as we are launching a new, innovative curriculum. This means you will be seeing and hearing about lots of changes to the lessons and topics that children are taught. This new curriculum is based upon the latest educational research and maximises the use of technology across the curriculum. Further information on each year’s curriculum will be shared in a welcome video for families, so please do look out for these at the end of this week.

This details below contain information about uniform and the adjusted entry and exit times and locations for pupils. A note that PE lessons start the week beginning 13th September.

Your child’s PE time will be shared in your welcome video. If you are unsure about anything please do approach a member of staff on the gate and they will be happy to help.
