It has been a week since we closed Oasis Academy Temple to all pupils except those who are vulnerable or are children of key worker parents.

Dear Parents and Carers,

It has been a week since we closed Oasis Academy Temple to all pupils except those who are vulnerable or are children of key worker parents. It has been an incredibly challenging week for the children, yourselves and the staff. The children will have missed their friends, teachers and other adults in school and we have all very much missed our daily contact with you and your children doing the job we all love. Your children have had to adapt to home learning with support from our staff and yourselves and we thank you all for how you have juggled and coped in creating new routines whilst combining the role of parent and teacher. Many of you have had to do this whilst also working from home too !

Thank you for doing an amazing job we are sure you are ready for a rest this weekend and hope you get one.

For families in receipt of free school meals please follow the link we will  sending  in a text to you which will take you to a letter that is also on our website that explains how a voucher for £15 per week will be emailed directly so  that you can spend on food at Tesco’s, ASDA, Sainsbury’s, M and S and Waitrose.

Thank you for the amazing support you have provided to us all at the school this week . We are grateful for all the positive messages you have sent thanking us for our work and we look forward to you accessing the  updated work and activities from our website following  emails that you will be receiving from your teachers and year leaders from Monday 30th March.

If there is any advice or support you require or you know of any families in need or are struggling to get in to a routine with home schooling please email or call the Academy in the usual way and we will help you as much as we can.

Take care of yourselves, your family and your neighbours and thank you for joining in the national handclap yesterday to thank our amazing NHS staff who are working tirelessly in serving all of us during this unprecedented situation we all find ourselves in.

Best wishes,

Mr Simpson and all the staff at Temple
