Check out the excellent learning that has been taking place in our nursery!
This week Nursery have gone eggstatic for eggs! They have been busy predicting what they think is inside, as you can see there are some very interesting thoughts! They can’t wait until next week to find out what’s inside!
Nursery have also made some eggs out of clay and used tools to change their appearance.
In English, the children have been reading ‘Come on Daisy’. They are doing talk for writing so have made their own text maps that they will change next week. They enjoyed learning about different river animals and acting out the story using masks.
The children have also been making their own number lines in their maths groups and also pictograms of what they think is inside the eggs. Outside they have been practicing their shape names and physical skills by throwing bean bags onto large shapes.
Also outdoors this week, the teachers made a new sand pit for the children to sit inside! The children loved taking their shoes and socks off and pretended that they were at the beach.
The children have continued to enjoy the Vet role play, looking after the animals and learning lots of new vocabulary.
